Powering Up with the AC Cord Connected to the Frame
Applies to All Models
The frame can accept power from the AC cord without the stand. The power port is located on the bottom of the frame (when in landscape mode).
In earlier models, plugging in power was enough to turn the frame on.
In newer models, you have to press the power button for up to 5 seconds to turn the unit on. The screen will show the PhotoSpring logo and power up. If you see a battery icon while doing this, let go of the power button and press it again (up to 5 seconds).
Powering Up on Battery Power

Powering Up with the Frame in the Stand
Applies to PhotoSpring 10 legacy frame (discontinued)
With the AC charger connected to the stand, the frame can charge while seated properly in the stand. When seated properly in the stand you should see a charging icon appear.
Doing a Hard Power Down
In some cases, when powering up fails (often due to a low battery charge) you can perform a Hard Power Up. This should only be done with a proper charge in the battery.
To do a Hard Power Up - press and hold the power button for 12 seconds and then let go. If you see a charging icon while doing this, please try it again.
Note: If PhotoSpring won't power on please consult our Power Troubleshooting Guide.
