The following article assumes you are giving PhotoSpring as a gift and are going through gift setup.
Getting the Gift Code
As part of gift setup you will encounter a page that displays a 4 character gift code - which looks roughly like this:
In case you are already past initial gift setup, then you should also be able to see the same gift code in the upper right corner of the gift screen:
In both examples above, the gift code is a generic ABCD. Your gift code will be different.
Give the Gift Code to the Gift Recipient
If you are going to give the gift recipient a card along with the gift - we suggest writing something like this on a card:
Dear Jane,
We hope you enjoy your gift. Here is a gift code that you may need to use with your gift: ABCD
Warm Wishes, John |
If you mailing the gift frame - we suggest emailing the gift recipient something like this:
Dear Jane,
I just sent you a gift in the mail and I'm really excited for you to open it! Here is a gift code that you will need to use with your gift: ABCD
Warm Wishes, John |
What Does the Gift Recipient Do With the Gift Code?
When setting up their gift, the gift recipient may be asked for the gift code. Once they enter the gift code, the frame will contact our servers and download the gift message and photos that you uploaded during gift setup.
Tip #1 for Gifters: It's a very good idea to create albums and load as many photos as you can as part of your gift. This can be done near the tail end of gift setup.
Tip #2 for Gifters: It's also a very good idea to invite family and friends to contribute photos for this gift. This can also be done near the tail end of gift setup.
