As of May 2025, Google continues to make changes to how 3rd party apps can access Google Photos.
These change may affect PhotoSpring's permissions to access and display photos from Google. To check if PhotoSpring has proper permissions please do the following
Go to Google.com and make sure you are logged into your Google account. After logging in click your account icon in the upper right corner and in the menu that pops up click Manage My Account.
Next Select the Data and Privacy tab on the left as shown below. Scroll down to the "Data from apps and services you use" section and find the third party apps. You should see PhotoSpring listed here. Click on the PhotoSpring button
The next page will list all the apps that have access to your photos. Please find the PhotoSpring entry and click on it. The next screen will list out all the permissions PhotoSpring has. You should see an entry pertaining to photos.
Click on the See Details button to get more detail on these permissions. If your screen is different then it probably means the permissions are no longer set. If so, please take a photo of this and email us at support @photspring.com
If you are able to get to See Details your screen should look like this. Please take a screenshot of it and email us if you are having issues.
