PhotoSpring allows you to upload videos up to 1GB in total size. This is significantly larger than any other digital photo frame maker on the market. We display videos in 1280x720 resolution - again significantly better than almost all other digital photo frame makers.
While 1GB is a lot of data, longer videos or videos with super high resolution may easily exceed 1GB in size.
You can reduce the size of the video in the following ways:
- Cut the video if it is too long.
- Reduce the frame rate to around 20-25 frames per sec (fps)
- Reduce the resolution to 1280x720 (this is the resolution of the screen so you won't actually perceive a difference)
You can do this using commonly available programs on your computer.
Search on google for "convert video Mac" or "convert video windows"
On Mac as an example, you can use QuickTime to trim videos or export a video with reduced fps/resolution.
